I have been using NVDA for quite awhile and love it. Only thing is it doesn't read the message balloons that pop up, like for updates and so on. Someone said there was an add on that made it do this, but I can't find it. Does anyone know the name of the add on or where to get it? I am using windows 10. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, NVDA should read those automatically. Thre is an addon for 10 that improves some things, Windows 10 app essencials I believe it is called. Check out the NVDA addon's page, it's one of the first headings there.

With Windows 10, all you need to do is hit Windows v to hear the last notification, assuming you catch it in time. You can also hit Windows A to launch the action center, where you can see a list of recent notifications.

The add-on I think you're referring to is called Balloon History, and, as far as I know, it was discontinued. It would only show notifications anyway, and wouldn't allow you to interact with them at all.
